New feature!- The Wrrry of the Night- given out to the player who went off with some ridiculous numbers. Basically, this guy showed up at the arena and pulled one of these....
Last night's Wrrrry goes to Brandon Jennings for dropping 32 points on DENVER while shooting 57% from the field, 2-2 from 3, 8-8 from charity and dishing out 9 assists, grabbing 4 boards. I almost made the folly of giving the first ever Wrrry to Danny Granger for posting up 31 points and 16 boards on 50% shooting but then I remembered it came against Golden State.
3 point tracker: Granger chucked 7 last night (making 2) which makes this his least active night from beyond the arc. Pick up the pace Danny boy!

Also got to give big ups to Greg Oden (18 and 11), King James (36, 8, and 4), Mo Williams (28 and 4-5 for 3's) Charlie Villanueva (30 pts on 76% shooting), and Bosh (28 and 11). Lots of big play last night.
Going back to Milwaukee, they have a really good thing going right now. Should be interesting to see how Redd fits in upon his return. If he can assume a role spot but shoulder the scoring load when the younger guys struggle, watch out.

The Knicks drop toe 1 and 8 as Atlanta comes into the Garden for a double-digit win. But honestly, the Knicks had some good to reflect on last night. They did play hard and matched up well with the 6-2 Hawks. However, their D broke down in the 3rd Quarter and the Hawks tightened the screws. The big story of the game for me was Toney Douglas getting his first start!! He went off for 23. I like this kid. Definitely looking forward to seeing more of him. Oh yeah, where is Darko?
Every time I see Al Hortford, I can't help but see this guy.
Cleveland smacks down Orlando but I still see this team as flawed. They will pile up wins and probably own the East again but what about in the playoffs? Last night only 3 guys hit double figures and 64 of their points came from two bodies. That lack of balance will be veeeeery exploitable in a 7 game series against a quality opponent. LeBron downplayed the win in his post game interview which was smart. He knows it doesn't matter just yet...
Deng and Noah are quietly putting up great numbers for Chicago as Rose continues to struggle. He allowed Calderon to shoot 80% last night. 80%! Something is wrong.
SOS: Chris Paul. How many times did the camera have to pan away last night as he had a look of disgust on his face watch a team mate blow another assignment? The way I see it, Okafor is a corpse out there, Peja is only useful if he is nailing threes and he can't even make lay ups right now, and West is neutralized by the other team's defense because, well, because there are two corpses on his squad. The Suns look good not because they are flashy but because they are making the extra pass, balancing the load, and Frye is really opening up the floor with his outside shooting.
Let's give Grant Hill some praise. After all the injuries and bouncing around, the guy is still around and still effective. 18 pts on 8-14 shooting last night. Let's just look at the Top 10 from his draft class:
1. Glenn "Big Dog" Robinson- GONE
2. Jason Kidd- still around but fading
3. Grant Hill- still around
4. Donyell Marshall- "Free Agent" which is code for no one needs you anymore old man
5. Juwon Howard- 5 pts in 27 minutes of action this year.
6. Sharone Wright- GONE
7. Lamond Murray- GONE
8. Brian Grant- GONE
9. Eric Montross- GONE
10. Eddie Jones- GONE
Good work, Grant. I am rooting for you.
Interesting side note: The Nets took Yinka Dare in that draft at the 12 pick. Yeah, this guy.
Speaking of the Nets, last second cough up against the Sixers. No wins. Good thing they don't have any fans. Terrence Williams is on an Twitter-ban until they win. Don't hold your breath.
Happy ball.
