Notes from 11/10/2009

Is it just me or is it getting ugly out there?

Let's start with the Wiz. They are desperate for Jamison to return right now. Arenas should now be referred to as Agent TO. He cant keep his grips on the ball!!! After being outplayed again by Mr. Wade I am done saying Gilbert is a top NBA'er. (41 vs. 21.... and that's 1/3 of the story... he shot a dismal 7-20 from the floor while Wade torched him at the clip of 14-29.... and how about this... TWELVE TURNOVERS!!!!! what? 12... yeah, 12)... oh and of those 12, 10 were in the 2nd half. That just can't happen.

So let's talk this out. The Wizards are severely lacking something right now... they are 23rd in the league in shooting % and they are 4th from last in sharing assists. They have given up 100+ 5 times so far resulting in 4 losses. Arenas is currently leading the league in TOs which leads you to believe he is trying to do too much out there. This team is def. lacking an identity right now. Jamison's return to the line up should bolster the squad and hopefully Randy Foye can stay healthy. Working him into the line up is crucial.

J.R..... excuse me.... Earl Smith returned to the line up for Denver last night. If you didn't catch it, J.R. no longer wants to be referred to as J.R. anymore in an effort to clean up his image. Wonder why he would want to do that? Maybe it is because he ran up a string of five driving suspensions in 8 months including 2 serious accidents. In one of those accidents, he killed passenger and long-time friend Andre Bell and had to serve jail time for reckless driving. He recently closed his Twitter account b/c he was accused of using language associated with the Bloods street gang. Yeah, stick with Earl. See how far that gets ya.

Ohio is crazy.... I can't wait to see this field up in flames when he jumps ship this summer.

I love Derrick Rose but something is definitely wrong. It has to be an injury he is not being forthcoming about. All of his key numbers are down from last year and interestingly, the Bulls have a negative +/- in every lineup featuring Rose this year. Something is definitely wrong.

After all of the Houston praise, they coughed one up in the 2nd half last night. Dallas just torched the nets while Houston shot abysmal. It happens...

Josh Smith hasn't attempted a 3 pointer this year.

Here are the guys averaging more than 40 minutes per game right now... let's keep an eye on this b/c they may be the first to break down.
